Tips: 2 most beneficial effects of 12-pulse VFD
1) In high power variable frequency drive (VFD), 12 pulse VFD can bring more stability on DC bus (like a switching power supply which has better stability and accuracy in output because of high number of pulses) which results in better control in VFD's output.
2) 12 pulse VFD results in less line harmonic generation but has nothing to do with harmonics which generate in output of VFD.

Selection of 6-pulse or 12 pulse VFD depends on the application, depending upon your application you can select either 12-pulse VFD or 6-pulse VFD. Generally all standard VFDs are of 6-pulse VFDs. 12-pulse VFDs are costlier than 6 -pulse VFDs.
