Tips: is 120V 60Hz power safer than 240V 50Hz power?
The frequency of 50Hz need the voltage of 220V-240V and frequency of 60Hz needs lower voltage 110V-120V. The country like US is using 60Hz 120V, Australia is using 50Hz 240V. So that all the appliances that use electricity require maintaining standards of 60Hz 120V or 50Hz 240V. The lower voltage 110V, 120V associated with a 60 Hz system is not necessarily better from a safety point of view. At 120V the smaller muscles of the human hand contract, leaving the owner in the current path. At higher voltages, the larger muscles of the arm and torso contract which tends to remove the person from the circuit. It is the current cycling at 50 / 60 Hz causing the heart to try to beat at that rate, if that muscle is subjected to the current flow, that is the most likely source of significant trauma. 60Hz 120V is equally harmful as 50Hz 240V, it's the voltage and current levels that determine the danger levels, not frequency.
For the appliances not workable on both 50Hz and 60Hz power, you can buy this converter to make the power system compatible with your appliances, easy converting 240V 50Hz to 120V 60Hz in a single step.
