Tips: Summarize some important information of the impact on cable size of a motor
1) Always check the wiring to match the load profile - see motor nameplate data.
2) All motors are not created equal. If the motor is not rated for use with VFD, it is certain to fail quickly and dramatically, either by failure of insulation (and arc to chassis / ground) or by bearing failure due to circulating currents. So if it is not rated for VFD, don't use it with a VFD.
3) All cables are not created equal. VFDs produce voltage spikes in the order of 1600-2000V while artificially generating the desired sine wave that drives the motor. This is 2-4x the rating of most electrical wire insulation. If the wire is not rated for this voltage, it will quickly fail, allowing the voltage to ACR to nearest conductor (or personnel) with dangerous or deadly results.

Interested in your 7.5hp VF Drives
I noticed your single phase input models go up to 7.5hp. so I looked up the model numbers in the user manual and according to the user manual they are manufactured for 3 phase input. So i am just wondering if that is a mistake because i am looking for a 7.5hp with single phase input but if it was designed for three phase then i will have to derate.

No need to derate, this 7.5hp single phase input  VFD is customized from three phase input VFD, GoHz can even customize higher capacity VFDs, i.e. 10hp, 20hp...

GoHz 7.5hp VFD
I have (2) 7.5hp 3 phase230 volt pump motors to run, power on site is only 230 single phase. Will your GK3000-2S0055G drive run 1 of the 7.5 hp motor? I was told when you get above 3 hp you need to double the size of your drive, is this true?

The capacity of VFD is matching with the motor, it's common to use VFD for pump motor, does not need higher capacity.
The model# GK3000-2S0055G will take single phase 230v to three phase, to power your pump motors.

7.5 hp VFD, Single Phase to Three Phase VFD
I purchased this unit to power my 5.5hp submersible well/irrigation pump. It works incredibly well. We had a slight issue that was quickly ans professionally addressed. This was shipped from Hong Kong and was received in 4 days to Oregon. These units are built very well and weigh over twice as much as their competitors. Hugh heat sink and dual cooling fans keep it cool. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

Control panel
I am very interested in purchasing a 7.5 HP VFD with a single phase 230V input.  I need a VFD that has the capability to have the control panel remotely mounted in a control cabinet door.  Are your VFDs capable of doing this?   Please let me know as soon as possible, I need a replacement VFD, FAST.  Thank you.
