Tips: Why can't VFD be used as a frequency converter?
There are essential differences between frequency converter and VFD. Due to the different power grid indicators in the world, electrical manufacturers need power supply to simulate the power grid conditions of different countries, and then provide appropriate voltage conversion. Frequency converter provides pure, stable, low harmonic distortion high frequency sinusoidal power output when engineers are working in design, development, product life testing, and over high/low voltage simulation testing applications. However, when VFD is used in the laboratory, there are some problems, such as the increase of vibration, electromagnetic noise, temperature rise, the test instrument cannot work and so on, which brings great difficulties to the test industry. Therefore, the frequency converter which can provide pure sine wave output has become an indispensable power supply equipment in the laboratory.
The frequency converter is to transform the alternating current in Mains electricity into pure sine wave after AC-DC-AC transformation. The output frequency and voltage can be adjusted within a certain range, which has been widely used. It can completely replace the role of VFD, and can better protect the equipment, can be used as a general power supply. It can output the power grid voltage and frequency of any country, and it can also be applied to loads with various impedance characteristics, including resistive, capacitive, inductive and other nonlinear loads. They are very close to the ideal AC power supply. But we need to pay attention to the different types of load, the power capacity of the frequency converter is not the same.

Best Value for Industrial Use
I’ve used many frequency converters in the past, but this one stands out for its precision and efficiency. The output stability is rock-solid, with voltage regulation ≤1% and frequency regulation ≤0.01%, which is perfect for sensitive industrial machines. It’s also highly responsive, with a 30ms transient response that keeps my operations smooth.

Stable Output for High-Precision Testing
In terms of operation, I found the output to be very stable, with virtually no frequency drift. This is crucial in high-precision testing environments where even small fluctuations can impact results.
